DOPPER WATER BOTTLE (STEEL)
I have used this water bottle for almost a year now. It is really easy to carry the bottle around because it is light weighted and quite compact. The bottle can hold both cold and warm drinks. From my experience, the bottle is more durable compared to plastic water bottles, and a bonus is that no odour is left behind in contrary to plastic bottles.

BAMBOO/WOODEN CUTTING BOARD
This bamboo/wooden cutting board is much more durable compared to the plastic ones that my family used to have. The traces of usage are much less visible compared to the plastic ones, which makes it easier to clean.

LINEN BAG
The photo shows one of the linen bags that I have at home. Besides the design, I also like the many purposes you can use these bags for. Personally, I always bring my linen bag when I go shopping, whether it is shopping for clothes or grocery shopping. It does not take a lot of space to store it, so I can bring it with me in my purse or even in my pockets.

WOODEN CLOTHING HANGERS (IKEA)
My wooden clothing hangers are much stronger than the plastic ones I used to have. These hangers are strong enough to hold quite some weight, so it’s perfect for winter clothes! It also prevents my clothing from getting wrinkled in my wardrobe.

Coffee Storage Can
Material: Made by Steel
Benefits: Say No to paper and plastic wrapping bags and use a storage can instead. Take it easily with you and avoid buying bags again and again! I have this can for one and half year now and it still looks NEW. |
Scrunchies
Material: Made by Organic Cotton
Benefits: As introduced in one of our blogs, organic cotton is recyclable, and sustainable. No toxic chemicals, no damage to the solid, and uses 88% less water and 62% less energy, which makes it better than normal cotton. Scrunchies are better than normal elastics hair ties, as they stay longer and are made without plastic!! |

Eco Bamboo Cotton Swabs
Instead of using cotton swabs made out of plastic and sold in plastic packages, these bamboo cotton swabs are eco friendly as the package is made out of cardboard and the plastic is replaced by bamboo. These are hardly more expensive and are already available at a lot of pharmacies and drugstores. I personally prefer them much more because of the environmental impact but also because they are much firmer. They don’t break as easily as the plastic ones. In addition, they add a nicer look to your bathroom as the look of bamboo is nicer than plastic.

My Bathroom
I try to use as many eco-friendly and organic products in my household. My bathroom is a good example of this. I try to live by the code ‘I should be able to eat everything that I put on my body’. Not only does this have a positive and healthy effect on my body but in this way it is almost every time organic and eco-friendly. That says a lot about our society and the way people consume. Already many eco products and replacements are available in stores and they are easy to come by. Everyone can make this change and once you do, I am convinced that you will feel great!

Eco Dish Soap
As you can read in our blogs, most soaps contain microplastics. These microplastics end up on our plate but also in the oceans. By choosing for eco dish soaps without microplastics, you are helping the environment and also yourself. In addition to the eco dish soap you can use a bamboo dish brush which is also much firmer than a plastic one. The eco dish soap is as expensive as the normal soap in contradiction to the dish brush which is slightly more expensive. However, for me it is definitely worth the money as the brush is firmer and therefore lasts much longer.

Eco Laundry Detergent
Doing the laundry not only wastes a lot of water and electricity, the chemicals you put in your laundry also have a negative effect on the environment. With these eco friendly laundry detergents, washing becomes more eco friendly and the impact is independently from the amount of water use less than with normal detergent. Eco detergent is already for sale in many supermarkets and discount stores. If you want to take it one step further, you can try washing with nuts. You can put the detergent nuts in a bag and wash your clothes with them. They are zero-waste and give a nice, fresh touch to your clothes.

Bamboo Toothbrush and Eco Toothpaste
I switched several years ago from plastic toothbrushes to bamboo ones. When I made the change, I had to order them online as they were not available in stores yet. Nowadays, every drugstore and pharmacy sell them, and they have become almost as cheap as the plastic ones. I like the idea of having a sustainable toothbrush and I feel a lot less guilty for throwing one away. Also, the toothpaste is organic and has therefore a positive effect on your body as well as on the environment.
